The two-week average value change of two of the major SEE blue chip indices was in green for the period Sept 14 – 27, 2015. The best performer was the BIST 100 index of the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE), which achieved the positive 1.47% despite the forthcoming Islamic holidays, which usually influence the trade negatively. BET index, the blue chip index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), also performed well and increased by 0.90%.
The rest of the SEE indices continued their downtrend. Serbia’s blue chip index, BELEX 15 (BELEX), lost 2.21%, which was its fourth consecutive decrease on a two-week basis. The SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) also fell for a fourth time in a row by losing 1.9%. The Zagreb Stock Exchange’s (ZSE) CROBEX index decreased by 1.81%.
