The recovery of the major blue-chip indices in SEE continue with all of them registering a two-week average rise in the period Feb 22 – Mar 4, 2016 compared to Feb 8 – 19, 2016.
Istanbul Stock Exchange’s (ISE) BIST 100 index kept the uptrend from the beginning of February and achieved the sharpest two-week average increase, of 5.44%. The good performance was reflected also in the index’s maximum value – in Feb 22 – Mar 4 it was 77,191.14 points, compared to 73,446.47 points in the previous two weeks.
After falling sharply in the beginning of 2016, Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB)’s blue-chip index BET showed signs of recovery by registering the second highest two week average growth, of 4.56%. BET’s maximum value in Feb 22 – Mar 4 was 6,563.98 points, or by 5.2% more than in Feb 8 – 19.
The other major SEE blue-chip indices reported much weaker two-week average rise – 0.28% for BELEX15, the blue chip index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX), 0.22% for Zagreb Stock Exchange’s (ZSE) CROBEX, and 0.18% for Bulgarian Stock Exchange’s (BSE) SOFIX.
