Four of the major SEE blue chip indices concluded the two-week period July 20 – August 2, 2015, coloured in green, as the BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) registered the largest rise.
Romania’s blue chip constituents overall performance gained 2.93%, which was their second consecutive rise. After exceeding the level of 7,500 points in May, the value of the index reached 7,608 points on Monday, July 20th. Top three companies with the highest turnover were Fondul Proprietatea [BVB:FP], Banca Transilvania SA [BVB:TLV], and S.N.G.N. Romgaz SA [BVB:SNG], followed by BRD – Groupe Societe Generale SA [BVB:BRD] and Electrica SA [BVB:EL].
CROBEX index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) grew further and reported an increase of 1.71%, while BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) and the Bulgarian Stock Exchange’s (BSE) SOFIX index turned to the positive 1.08% and 0.76%, respectively.
BIST 100 index of the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) was the only blue-chip index in SEE countries to experience a two-week average decline by posting a drop of 3.69% in the period July 20 – August 2, 2015.
