BIST 100 index of the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) was the only blue-chip index in SEE countries to experience a two-week average growth by posting an increase of 3.37% in the period June 22 – July 5, 2015. The value of Turkey’s blue-chip index in each of the trading days did not surpass its peak of 91,193 points from the beginning of the year and reached 84,012 points on 24th June.
The other major SEE blue-chip indices concluded the two-week period June 22 – July 5 coloured in red, as the BELEX 15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) decreased for a third consecutive time, losing 4.25% this time. The SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) turned to the negative 0.82%, while the Bucharest Stock Exchange’s (BVB) BET index and the Zagreb Stock Exchange’s (ZSE) CROBEX index fell by 0.56% and 0.33%, respectively. For BET index it was the fourth consecutive two-week decrease since May 11, 2015.
